New Amendments and By-Laws are detailed below when proposed
PUBLIC NOTICE:
Public Notice is hereby given that Hampton Town Council, in compliance with Section 111 of the Community Planning Act of the Province of New Brunswick, intends to hold a public hearing of objections on Tuesday April 9, 2024 at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall, 2nd Floor Council Chambers, 648 Main Street, Hampton NB, to hear objections and/or comments pursuant to the proposed By-law No. HAM-2024-18: A By-law to Amend the Zoning By-law HAM-2023-16.
The amendments being considered would amend the current Schedule A: Zoning By-law Map under the authority of the Community Planning Act to rezone two properties located on William Bell Drive and Centennial Road, Hampton.
The portion of property identified as Parcel Identification (PID) Number 00194779 is located along William Bell Drive and is proposed to be rezoned from Medium Density Residential (R2) to General Commercial (GC) to facilitate commercial lots proposed in 2023 along William Bell Drive.
The entire property identified as PID 30210207 (1486 sq. m.) located at 27 Centennial Road is proposed to be rezoned from One and Two-Unit Residential (R1) to Institutional (INST). This property is owned by Hampton and is used as a government building.
Text amendments to sections 4.2.1 General Access Provisions, 4.3.1 Accessory Building Standards, 7.2.1 Mixed Use Zone Permitted Uses, 7.2.3 Mixed Use Zone Conditional Uses and 8.1.5. Conditions of Use: Sawmills will also be proposed as a result of Staff review of the Zoning By-law.
Anyone wishing to offer an opinion on this proposed By-law may do so in person at the hearing of objections meeting or in writing by dropping off your letter during regular business hours to the office of the Clerk of Hampton, Town Hall, 648 Main Street before Noon on Friday April 5, 2024. A letter may also be sent by email to richard@hampton.ca. Anyone may access a copy of the proposed By-law by clicking the link below, or in person at the Town Hall where business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
